PROJECTS
Robyn loves to create as well as act. Here you can learn about some of the work she has collaborated on.

1974. A smoke filled sports bar. Love is like a game of pool.
Magic 8 is a 3 minuet short film shot on super 8 which aims to explore what happens when making a queer connection in a stereotypically 'Straight' space. It follows two men (referred to as Solid and Stripe), neither obviously gay to the other men around them, who engage in a game of pool.

Take, a new single for the indie artist Samfire, is a song about what happens when someone takes too much from you. Released on the 1st April, Robyn directed the visuals to accompany the song. In a collaboration between herself, her creative producer Charly Faye and DOP Liam Beazley they merged digital and super 8 footage to make this new visualiser.

How can you be lonely while surrounded by people?
Written by Emma Brunet and directed by Robyn Faye, Flying Duo (working title) is a short film that follows two best friends finding their feet in the new and exciting city of London. Technically Robyn's first film, this story began production in 2024, and is now completing a festival run.

Robyn will be directing an abridged version of A Midsummer Night's Dream for the charity Compass Collective as they aim to break the world record for most simultaneous performances of the iconic play to raise money for refugee week. This all female production draws on this year's theme "community as a superpower", and will be performed at the prestigious Bush Theatre in London.

Robyn directs her second Straight 8 film, Immodest. Co-written between herself and Charly Faye, this proof-of-concept short film was inspired by real 17th century diary entries from nuns, and has a focus on ensemble work. They were lucky enough to film in both the Sepulchre Chapel in Paddington and St John the Baptist Holland Road; both beautiful historic London Churches.

Robyn takes on the roles of director and writer for Scrub Me, Daddy: A new straight 8 film starring Charly Faye and Emma Brunet. Having officially made the top 25 selection, the film will premiere on the biggest screen in the UK, BFI IMAX, on the 25th May alongside 24 other amazing films.

‘Spark’, is a challenge celebrating upcoming talent by uniting creative forces from all across London by harnessing the powers of ten different filmmakers to create an explosive short film. The twist being, the creation begins with the final scene and is shot backwards!
For this year, Robyn Faye is the writer and director of scene 5.

This is a one person show, told by an ensemble cast. The show follows our (some-what unreliable) narrator as they process the end of a ‘situationship’. This is our surface story, and at first we think this is a classic tale of lost love. But as we continue following the narrator’s thoughts we discover that the loss of their Oxford reject lover is more than your average breakup.

Lonesome is a visual poem written and performed by Emma Brunet-Campain, edited and directed by Robyn Faye and produced by Charly Faye. The trio collaborated on a short film together, Flying Duo, in March 2024. The dialogue in this film was developed from an original poem, and the three of them decided to record the poem and combine it with their excess footage.

The Prism was an online, interactive theatrical experience created by the London based Theatre company Les Enfants Terrible during the first Covid-19 lockdown.
In a collaboration with multiple artists across the UK the show explored lucid dreaming, allowing it's audience to explore multiple dreamscapes in a 'choose your own path' online format.
